Carolyn says that Bon (far right) went to the Halloween party as Lassie. He’s definitely the most convincing IMHO!
Charlie testing The Sheltinator™, an innovative new mobile collie compactor. It works! When either Claire or I open a crate, Charlie assumes we mean for him to jump in no matter what, even when it’s a sheltie crate. Here he is trying out Claire’s invention!

Two fun videos!
The first is from Catherine C. of Roxie’s first puppy class (Scout/Tori). The second is from Wendi G. of Raven (Rafi/Gracie) getting to know her new friends in her new home in the Sierra Nevada’s.
Here is Roxanne at her very first puppy class. I am amazed at Roxi’s focus on me and her embracing new objects activities: http://youtu.be/94CoZg4StD4
First run with both our smooth, Georgia, and our border collie collie mix, Skye, out near the river, yesterday: Look at her go… I’ll send more soon. The light wasn’t very good; too bright. Anyhow, hello from the Eastern Sierra mountains. Can’t figure out how to get this one so that it’s viewable. I’ll include it once I find out!

Karen C. owns Splash’s litter sister Liza who has her own blog! This is Liza’s report on her first herding lesson.
Liza’s Blog: I am compelled to write my blog before Sunday because I had such a great day. Mom told me that Monty and I were going to see something called sheepies today. I THOUGHT I knew what they were because I THOUGHT I had seen them before, called sheep instead. But I was excited to go see what these sheepies were. Unfortunately I had to ride in the car to do it.
Why, oh why, do I have to ride in the car to do everything. Mom gave me a dramamine and then at the start of the trip she stopped and got some wonderful treats called Gingersnaps. YUM! YUM! She gave some to me right away even thought I was drooling something terrible. I think they helped.
Anyway, we got to where these sheepies are and yep, just as I thought, sheep. I watched Monty play with them first. He looked like he did a pretty good job but I knew I could do better. So, after Monty finished, I got to go in.
There were THOUSANDS of them! More than I had ever seen before. I was a little apprehensive at first so the nice man, mom told me his name was Monroe, picked me up and walked with me into the middle of all of them. Sheep to the left, sheep to the right, they were all around us.
Then he put me down and I ran all the way around all of them, stopped and stared, then barked at them to try to get them to move (they didn’t). It was so much fun I can’t wait to do it again.
So, 2 wonderful things today. Sheepies and Gingersnaps (which I got more of for the trip home).
