SCOUT!
Scout is a 3-year-old sable merle, tri factored, rough factored smooth. He stays at Deep River part time and with his co-owner, Nancy Parker, in SC part time. Scout finished from the 6 to 9 puppy class in four weekends with four majors, was Reserve Winners Dog and Best Puppy in Show at the 2005 Collie Club of America national, and is a multiple Specialty Best in Show winner. Scout’s offspring are still puppies, but two have already finished, and one other is very close. He is producing beautifully so far.

AARON!
Aaron is a 6-year-old sable merle tri factored rough. He has been shown very little but has 7 points. We will be showing him this fall and winter. He is Scout’s sire and is also the sire of Feather, CH Deep River’s Rain Dance (see The Girls). Two of Aaron’s kids are featured on our Available page. Aaron’s breeders are Louann Young & Jenny Duhon.

Frost is a 3-year-old double blue merle and is rough factored. He is an amazing collie whose lack of vision and hearing (caused by inheriting 2 merle genes) has never slowed him down. He was able to climb stairs starting at 10 weeks old, is crate trained and leash trained. He and his co-owner, Claire Apple, are working together on carting and backpacking. Claire has helped Frost earn his CGC and his Rally 1 title! Bred to non-merles, Frost produces all normal merle puppies. He has sired 5 puppies (all girls) thus far, two of whom are pointed (smooth blues). His rough blue daughter was 2nd in the 6 to 9 month AOAC class at the 2007 Collie Club of America national.
