Owner Mickie Elliott (Orlando, FL) called to say that our co-owned CH Deep River’s Consider Her Mine (Mya) whelped a litter of 5 yesterday, July 17, by CH Westwood Steele Dust. The litter contains 3 tri rough girls, a blue rough girl and a blue rough boy. Mya is pictured below at 19 months.
Also, puppies due early September at Deep River out of Jag-View Beyond a Glance (Felicia) – pointed, sired by Deep River Younghaven Alliance (Aaron) – pointed. Photos of Felicia & Aaron taken yesterday July 17 are below. Sables, sable merles, tris & blues are all possibilities from this breeding.
Felicia is from the last litter sired by CH Pinewynd’s Sparkling Brut, ROM and has a number of Deep River bred collies on her dam’s side of the pedigree. Her breeder is Shannon Pollard who kindly allowed me to own her. She has been shown sparingly so far, and has 9 points.
Aaron is the sire of a number of beautiful champions, including our much loved Top 10 smooth CH Deep River’s Bow and Arrow.
Nick Joines and Joel McCarty have recently bred our co-owned CH Deep River’s First Frost (Hannah) a blue smooth to tri rough CH Westwood Southern Yankee, a tri rough and hope for a litter of smooth and rough blues and tris in mid-Sept. Also, Nancy Parker is breeding our co-owned CH Deep River’s Mountain Shadows (Brooke) a tri rough to CH Deep River’s Ride the Lightning, a blue smooth next week; roughs and smooths, blues and tris. These puppies would be born the end of September. Puppies from these breedings will be eligible for the 6 to 9 month puppy class at the 2009 CCA national in Springfield, MA.
