My Girl – Rita (March 11, 1993 to August 25, 2008)

Rita passed away today. She was not doing well this morning and would not eat. She went into a coma this afternoon and was euthanized a couple of hours ago. She went peacefully. Claire helped me with her and we both took her to SAH.

Through Lynne Fox and her breeding CH Wagon Star Total Recall to Loren, he lives on in many smooth and rough collie champions of the past and present, including CH Foxbride McLaughlin, ROM who was Loren’s grandson! At Deep River he had an impact as Roxanne’s grandsire and Rita’s great grandsire.

Loren, the day Lynne decided to breed to him.

Azalea Hill’s Deep River Leah, CDX (two UD legs) I made the mistake of breeding Leah a third time instead of finishing her UD first. By the time the puppies were born and weaned, she was nearly 8-years-old, and her jumping wasn’t so good anymore. This was back when the high jump & bar heights were one and a half the dog’s height at the withers, so my little Leah jumped 32″!
Our first conformation show – Leah was 6 mos.I was 27; not sure how old Roy Ayres was!

CH Stoneybrook Silver Saint, CD with two of his littermates @ 6 wks. He was the smallest puppy at that age but had that beautiful face and a “look” in his eye!

CH Wickmere’s Silver Bullet winning the Stud Dog Class at the 1982 CCA in Springfield, MA with his sons Neil & Saint. Saint was RD at this national and finished the following weekend at the Keystone CC specialty.
