We all missed Donna!!!

At the PBCA Herding Trials on Sat., Dec. 6, Mike & Tucky Vaughans, Moose age 12 months, made a new friend named Vicky.  She is the 6-year-old daughter of Claire’s friends Christine & Mike.  They had a wonderful time running around together!  Moose wanted to show off for Vicky, I guess, so he earned his PT title!

Joy earned her first AKC Herding Championship point. (Well, it’s a start!) She had a 2nd place in Advanced ducks and a 3rd place in Advanced sheep. CH Deep River’s Comfort and Joy RA, HSAc, HXAds, RFL1, HTD1, HTADdsIII, HRDIII

Good Morning, Kathy!

You were  on   my  mind  this  am  as  I  sat  with  Oliver  and  thought  about  how  well  he  is  doing.  Obviously,   he  has   stolen  our  hearts,  and  he  is  ours!!!!  He  has  adjusted  so  well  that  it  is  hard  to  believe  he  hasn’t   even  been  here  with  us  two  weeks.  He   is  very  smart…….learns  very  quickly. His  current  weight  is  12 1/2 lbs.   He  is  eating  well,  and  I  would  say  we  are   getting  the  hang  on  potty  training.  He  loves  his  crate  and  cried  a  little  the  first  night  but  it  was  brief  and  now  he  goes  in  to   get  a  toy  and  comes back  out.

This  past  holiday  the  our daughter’s smooth  collie, Zelda,  spent  a  few  days  with  us,  and   Oliver  loved  that…..he  played  and  tormented  Zelda.  We  allowed  the  play  under  supervision  and  for  short  periods so  it  worked  out  well.  Oliver  is  very  inquisitive.  He  is  learning how  to  charm  us, although  that  does  not  take  much  doing.

Hope  that  all  is  well  with  you,  and  I  will  keep  you  updated.  Know  that  Oliver  is  in  a  good  home  and  we  love  him   to  pieces!!!!!!  Everyone  who  sees  him  for  the  first   time  remarks  on  his  beauty……calling   him  stunning., handsome  and  all  those  good   words.  and  so  well  behaved!

Hi Miss Kathy,
Our puppy, Mochi is doing awesome! She gets car sick though. When we took her to the dog park once, she threw up twice in the car! She’s gonna be an agility dog and win many awards, and I’m thinking about training her to be a hospital service dog. My mom and me think she’s so pretty that we might have to register her to be a show dog. Thank you SO much for giving us our dog!

Faye Elderidge sent these very cute photos of her baby boy, Falcon and his sheltie friend and says, “Falcon has found a playmate in Solo. They have become the best of friends…..She has been a big help in housebreaking him too! He follows right along and does whatever she does.” Falcon will be shown in conformation and will become a therapy dog.
